Family Tent Camping - MEC Cabin 6 Review and Experience
by Pow Momma intenting with your family or thinking about it?
it can be hard to decide on what to get.
i have a under 1 and 2 year old...this is what works great for us.. previous to children we used a msr 2(person) 4 season tent or a mountain equipment co-op (mec) camper 4(person), 3 season tent.

Getting Young Kids Excited to Ski or Snowboard
by Pow Momma inmy husband and i love to downhill ski and want to share the fun of the ski slopes with our two kids.
our daughter turned two just before ski season and we thought we would try to get her out once or twice by borrowing some friends toddler gear..
since having kids we still ski frequently (around 15 times in the season).

Summer Gondola Ride with the Kids - Lake Louise Resort, Alberta
by Pow Momma inbeing high up a mountain is exhilarating and peaceful at the same time.
i feel most at ease in the mountains and feel fortunate to live so close to both the canadian rockies and purcell mountains.
since having kids my husband and i have chosen to continue to spend as much of our leisure time in the mountains as possible whether it's just going for a walk, camping or hitting the ski slopes..

We can't explain why mountains have energy but we all believe it ...
by Mountain Machine inthere are many things in the universe that we don't understand ..... what are cosmic rays?.
why do the mountains give energy to the organisms around them?.
skiing lets you go anywhere that has snow....as long as you both stick to the mountain.

Grassi Lakes Trail Family Hike - Beginner Experience
by CaptainCodeman in(pictures below).
spring seemed to arrive early in alberta this year after a relatively mild winter and we were already enjoying clear blue skies and hot sunny days in early april.
so it wasn't surprising to hear that our keen-outdoor loving friends wanted to go back to the mountains to hike immediately after putting away their skis for the season and they invited us to go along with them.. we're much less of an outdoor family (but trying to get out more often) and normally the prospect of going on a hike with much younger, fitter and more experienced hikers would be a little intimidating.
