If you wear slippers and you're not wearing acorns you aren't wearing what the astronauts are wearing ....
Enough said
except for..
.small amount of wear near the heal / sole but really unnoticeable
I could see these being useful on mars!!

I sold Acorn slippers years ago in a store I worked. They are great! Most are light weight, easy to pack and wash. They also have kid sizes. I see them as more of a travel or home slipper than outdoor option. Most of them have hard soles so you can wear them outdoors and they could be used for camping.
For back country huts I use Hut Booties. I have had the same North Face pair for 10 years! They are looking a little rough looking but still holding together. Mine are down filled but there are synthetic options out there. The water resistant top is a must for back country huts when going from hut to outhouse in the snow. They are also very warm!
HUT BOOTIES for everyone!
For camping I use Crocs or flip flops as my quick slip on option when I don't want to throw shoes on. I use these options since it is often wet in the mornings from dew or rain and hut booties would get too wet and take a while to dry out.
