For free snowshoeing in the Columbia Valley check out Copper Ridge Golf Course. Park near the Copper Point Resort, you can just go on the golf course. It's popular so you should be able to see other peoples tracks. Beautiful mountain views and good for families. We like to stop at Kicking Horse Coffee Shop for a bite to eat or hot drink afterwards. You often see deer along the way.
